Clinical Interests

Corrective Exercise, Strength and Conditioning, Weight Management, Posture and Joint Function, Balance and Coordination, Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, Gait Analysis. Through using the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s (NASM) Optimum Performance Training (OPT) model - a process of exercise programming that systematically progresses any client to any goal, Brian provides his clients with a systematic approach for progressing towards his or her individual training objectives. Integrated training programs include: fitness assessments, flexibility training, cardiorespiratory training, core training, balance training, plyometric (reactive) training, speed-agility-quickness training, resistance training, program design, and different exercise modalities. Brian’s training approach focuses on movement as the basic currency of health, fitness and performance. Great movement produces healthy, pain-free, high-level performance. Bad movement promotes pain, dysfunction, and progressive decreases in mobility. Brian emphasizes new skill development and making the body smarter through
exercise, so training expands outside the arena of the gym and into everyday life. He is one of approximately 100 NASM Master Trainers in the United States.
